Meet Our Staff

staffSue with her dachshund, Neena
Sue has owned Dublin Creek for the past 13 years but has over 28 years experience with dogs and cats. She loves all breeds and has experience showing, breeding, training, and grooming. Sue currently lives with 3 dachshunds and one mischievous Australian Shepherd. In her spare time she loves to relax and spend time with her dogs and her beloved chickens. These are 12 hens and a rooster named Doug. Sue’s true pride and joy is her son Dave who is a college student in San Francisco.

staffKatherine with her boxer, Roxy
Katherine came by her love of dogs honestly. Being the niece of Sue Hagan, Katherine grew up around dogs, spending her childhood at dog shows & training classes. She spent many hours among the puppies that Sue bred. While in high school Katherine worked in several boarding kennels bathing dogs and learning the ropes of kennel life. She officially came to work at Dublin Creek in 2001 where she excelled. She left in 2004 to pursue her career as a project engineer. She soon realized her true calling was working with animals and their people. In March, 2010 she became Sue’s business partner, thus fulfilling her dream. Katherine has been married to her husband Billy for 4 years and they are the proud parents of a beautiful little boy, Hunter. They have two wonderful pets that they adopted and love dearly. A 3 year old boxer, Roxy and a 13 year old cat named Lucy.

JanelleJanelle with her dogs Pepper & Molly
Janelle has worked for Dublin Creek for over 2 years now but came to us with several years of kennel experience. She is the proud owner of two dogs, Pepper an Australian Cattle Dog mix and Molly a Pomeranian. Pepper was her first dog and he came with lots of behavioral issues. It took a lot of dedication and hard work but Pepper is now a loyal and loving pet. Molly was adopted from one of our customers and has been a wonderful addition to Janelle and Peppers home. Janelle has a tremendous love of dogs and reads every book and article about dogs she can get her hands on. She is also a certified Pet Care Technician. Janelle’s goal is to one day own a kennel of her own; we believe she can do it.

LauraLaura with her dogs Blaze, Yuma & Corky
Laura grew up on a ranch in Yuma, Arizona and currently lives on a ranch in Livermore. She and her husband John are the proud parents of two horses; Elvis, a quarter horse and Roxie a Tennessee Walker. They have three dogs; Blaze and Yuma are Australian Cattledog mix’s and their baby Corky, who is a dachshund. Last but not least, they adopted Tiki Toes, a frisky little kitten whom they adore. Laura has worked at Dublin Creek for almost 2 years and in that time became a Certified Pet Care Technician. She has proven to be an incredible asset to our team.

staffAlora with her cat Squiggy
Alora is a full time student who has worked with us for the past 3 years taking care of the cats. She also earned her Pet Care Technician Certification last year. When she is not working she enjoys reading, listening to music and driving in her car. She is an absolute cat lover and has adopted many of them over the years. Currently she has three pets, Squiggy her cat, Rocket her cocker spaniel and Eddie a Chihuahua. When asked what she likes best about working at the kennel, Alora answered, “the animals, they give unconditional love”.

staffBree with our kennel kitty Angela
Bree works in our cattery and came to us highly recommended from Parkway Veterinary Hospital, she did not disappoint. Besides finishing her degree to be a CPA and raising her beautiful 7 year old daughter, Bree still manages to fit in working with animals. She is kind and knowledgeable; a great addition to
our team.

staffAlec with Jenny, his black lab
Alec started at Dublin Creek in 2006 while still in high school. He now attends college, majoring in business. He adores his dog Jenny whom he adopted from Lab Rescue two years ago. When not hanging out with his buddies, he enjoys fencing, a sport he picked up a year and a half ago. He lives with his family in Pleasanton and is especially close with his sister Annie. His goals are to finish school and pursue a career in human resources.

The quality of his work and his professionalism makes JC Builders a company that is a pleasure to work with and that we can highly recommend.
